What is the top reason to list your home today?  Well let me tell you. Farmer & Company Real Estate has had an awesome couple of months when it comes the sale of homes and properties!  Typically during the holidays and the first couple months of the year, real estate slows down.  People simply aren’t in the mood to get out and look at homes when its cold, snowy, they’re paying off Christmas, going on vacations, etc.  This past holiday season and January 2016 has NOT been like the past at all!  We have closed 16 of our own listings since December 1, 2015 and have an additional 11 in sale pending, not to mention a couple properties our clients have closed on that were listed with other agencies.

If you have been thinking about listing your home in the spring, I think you should reconsider and list your property now!  Why?  Because buyer demand continues to outpace the supply of homes.  With so many sales closing in the last 6 weeks, inventory is low for this time of the year and there is a healthy level of buyers in the market.

Sure the weather isn’t great right now for folks to get out and tour homes, but that’s not as important anymore for buyers as it once was.  Buyers are using apps, websites and email to view new listings from the comfort of their homes.  As long as your home is in showing condition, you should definitely consider listing now instead of waiting until Spring.  And if you’re not ready to move, simply negotiate your closing or possession date with your buyer.  For more information, visit Keeping Matters Current.
